Charity Quiz tonight

The Lord Combermere Tuesday Quiz has its biggest night of the year this evening – and this year it's a Charity Quiz for Donna Louise Children's Hospice.

Looks like it will be a great night. I hope all the regulars will make it and enjoy the buffet, the auction, the raffle and the quiz.

The Quiz will be eight rounds with Mike Haines giving his four and my four, all themed on Christmas.

Timing of the night

• 7.45pm onwards: The Lord C team will have the buffet ready to serve. I have built funds throughout the year from your entry fees. Close to £500 and have made it up myself to the round figure of £500. Allan & Jo say they can put on a good spread for us.
• 8.30pm approx: I will carry out the Auction of lots. 11 in all and should get this done in 30 minutes. Commission bids have been made . If any lot looks like not reaching its potential value, I reserve the right to declare it not sold.
• Raffle – we will sell raffle tickets as an ongoing thing.
• 9.00pm: Start the Quiz of 8 rounds. 4 wines and 8 beer/drinks vouchers to be won.
• 9.45pm: Raffle draw.
• 10.45pm hopefully – finish with a last round by Mike.

PLEASE NOTE: As it will be a packed house and serving buffet etc, there will be no tea or coffee available.

I hope those who come along will enjoy the night and give their fullest support for the only Hospice in South Cheshire, North Staffs and North Shropshire that is for solely for children.
