Charity Quiz makes almost £5,000

The Annual Quiz night at the Lord Combermere.

As you will know, this year the night was dedicated to the Mend Our Mum Campaign.

It has now become a night when all the quizzers come to enjoy a splendid buffet and a good happy quiz. And to bid for the lots on offer.

I was so very pleased that we had the expert services of Charlie Foyle as Auctioneer and his skill was very soon apparent as the bids came in thick and fast.

I had garnered over 30 lots – plus a huge number of raffle prizes – from so many very generous donors.

Lot after lot went under the hammer, once all had had their fill of the splendid food on offer
and I am so very delighted to report that the total raised on the night was:

£4915 !!!

A superb night for a very noble cause.

We do have DVDs on sale here in the village so do buy one or more – a real piece of the wonderful community spirit we have here in Audlem.
