Regular readers will recall the announced Charity night to raise money for help combat breast cancer.

Fancydress update for the Charity Fancy Dress evening of August 4th.

A well-known boxer should be attending the event to help with judging and presenting of prizes. It depends on his training programme – he has a title fight planned and will announce his opponent at the party.

Auction lots include:-

  • A flight with Geoff Farr.

  • An hour's ride in Porsche 911gt3

  • 4 tickets to an Oulton Park race day (meeting will be announced on the night)

  • A round of golf for 4 at Brookfields.

  • A fully equipped picnic basket

  • A day (at work) with Norman Huntbach

  • A beautiful bouquet of flowers. **

  • A £100 voucher / product from Audlem Fabrics. (Call in to the shop prior to the auction to view)

The Raffle commencing at 9.00pm very sharp.
Gifts/vouchers from:-

  • All shops from the village!!!

  • Also, several raffle prizes from local residents.

Sylvia Davies has donated a large bottle of five pence pieces to the fund. It could be a few hundred quid in there and we thought it a good idea to do a 'guess the amount' type sweep. The five pences go to the fund and the closest guess wins a prize.

It would be fantastic for everyone attending to buy a raffle ticket at a cost of £5. I'm sure you will agree that the donated prizes are well worth losing a fiver!

I'm still looking for a few sponsors willing to donate hard cash to purchase prizes for best fancy dress etc.. Please get in touch with me via Allan or Jo at the Lord Combermere, Audlem.
