Please note – with immediate effect,  all Parish Council meetings will be held at Thornton House, Emberton Place.  It is hoped that the new venue, with the space it offers,  will enable more members of the public to attend meetings should they wish to do so.

A second change is that Cllr Bill Consterdine has left the Council.  He served the village for an incredible thirty-two years, acting as Chairman for seven years and Vice-Chairman, also for seven years.  During his period of office he was responsible for many issues, most notably: new street lighting; the original dog fouling poop-scoop programme; the de-priming of the A525 and, most recently, the refurbishment of the toilets which now belong to the Parish Council.

In his letter of resignation, Bill said his years of office had “always been enjoyable, fruitful and sometimes frustrating, but very worthwhile and satisfying.”  The Parish Council will be discussing the applicants who have applied to be his replacement at tomorrow ‘s meeting.

Finally, the last major change is that we now have a new Clerk, Kirstin Dixon.   As Chairman, Cllr Kate Down wrote in the latest Newsletter, “Around Audlem”:  “We are very sorry to be saying goodbye to our Clerk, Jean White, who is retiring after almost ten years of excellent service.  We wish her all the best for the future.”

Kirstin’s contact details are on the website and you can find them from the Home Page by clicking on Your Parish Council/Audlem Parish Council.  Kirstin is the first point of contact for anyone who wishes to get in touch with the Council.
