Cash-point scam

The following Chatbox post has been received and will be of interest to anyone who uses the cashpoint:

"On trying to withdraw money yesterday from the cash point outside the co-op, I failed. However, looking at the machine, I noticed a very well disguised plastic strip placed over the money slot of the machine.

"I informed the co-op who informed the police, and both members of staff were present from the co-op when I flicked the plastic strip off and retrieved all but £10 of my cash withdrawal. The glue from this is still evident round the front of the cash point! So people beware!"
