A Case of Foul Play

Some may have watched the highlights of Saturday's match between Manchester City and Arsenal on Match of The Day and would have been shocked by the foul play committed by Emmanuel Adebayor on Robin van Persie. Adebayor has since been hit by 2 charges by the FA, one of violent conduct and a charge of improper conduct for his goal celebration.

But top flight football is not the only preserve of foul play. Here in Audlem, on our very own recreation ground, foul play is committed on almost a daily basis. Yet again a small minority of dog owners exercising their dogs are committing foul play by not clearing up the mess their dog leaves behind. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!

I was clearing up after the mess my dog left behind only to discover another delightful parcel close by. Luckily I had a spare pooh bag in my pocket and cleared the mess and deposited it in the red bin.

However I noticed more and it is a sad indication that these owners who repeatedly do not clear up despite warnings of up to a £1000 fine and polite notices posted in and around the recreational ground requesting dog owners to keep the ground clear of dog pooh for children's activities.

Come on, if the cap fits etc, we don't want to be Red carded off the field.
