Celia Bloor writes: "Eagle eyed readers of last week's Chronicle may have spotted on page 6 (next to the photo of smiling Kate Down) a small piece entitled 'Care Service Roadshow' advertising a roadshow in Nantwich Town Centre on February 12th. The County Council is consulting on the changes involved with 'personalisation' of services mainly at present in the field of Adult Social Care. They have held meetings but our nearest was in Crewe.

"The consultation is planned to end on Feb 16th but I am finding people who do not know about it who are service users, let alone all of us out there who might need care help in the future. The documents are on the coffee table in the Audlem Medical Practice and the questionaire is in the back, or copies can be obtained from 0845 11 333 11 or on the web at www.cheshire.gov.uk/consultations . There are also some on display in Nantwich Library.

"Monitoring this consultation has been the first piece of work undertaken by the Cheshire LINk and we were concerned that the information is not reaching people. I don't know if Audlem Tourist Office at Williams' belongs to the network used by the County Council. I will investigate. How do people think is the best way to reach out to everyone?

"The personalising of social care in Cheshire is relevant to any adult over 18 who is in contact with social care services (or likely to be in the future) as a user or a carer. With this in mind we are determined to capture the views of as wide a spectrum of the Cheshire population as possible. We have worked to making events and materials accessible and attempted to send messages and information via a variety of mediums."
