As the headline reads 'Yes' the Canal & River Trust Volunteer lock keepers based in Audlem have been potholing.

But I hasten to add 'Not the underground activity of potholing' – we have spent Friday morning repairing potholes in the service road from the Bridge Inn down to the canal wharf.

As normal all the associated risk assessments were prepared by our full time Team Leader 'Ange'.

A team today of 6 volunteers were involved in the task. We can report 'Job done' a great improvement to the road surface by filling 6 holes, some large and some small.

Possibly not up to motorway standard..............but a great improvement to the access road.
To close the morning off some of the lock keeping team assisted boat traffic up and down the flight of locks, another great day.
