The latest edition of the free canal newspaper "Towpath Talk" has a full page article on the financial impact that the breach on the Shropshire Union Canal is having on businesses and communities alongside it, with several paragraphs on Audlem.

Also, there is a letter from Peter and Chris Silvester at Audlem Mill on the same subject, and on the local attempts to get British Waterways to review the decision that is resulting in fewer and fewer boats permanently moored in Audlem.

Copies of "Towpath Telegraph" are available from Audlem Mill.

Both the Nantwich Chronicle and Market Drayton Advertiser have been taking a keen interest in the 'moorings' issue and have interviewed local residents with permanent moorings in Audlem.

Many village shops have copies of the petition which anybody interested in keeping the character of the canal in Audlem with its narrow boats moored along both banks is invited to sign.
