Canal art exhibition

Audlem Mill is to host its second annual canal art exhibition from March 22nd to April 18th.

On display at the canalside venue on Audlem Wharf will be original paintings and photographs from members of the Guild of Waterway Artists and others. These include works by Garth Allen, Sarah Chanin, David Wright, Dusty Miller, Rob Lowman, local artists Sheila Webster and the late Maureen Hinchcliffe.

A wide range of one- and two-day needlework and canal-related craft courses are also being held. Subjects include boat fender-making, crochet, jewellery workshop, latch hook rug-making, needle-felting, peg loom weaving, rag-rugging, spinning, traditional boatwomen's canal bonnets and traditional canal boatmen's belts.
