Tisbuts

This is an enquiry from Toby Neal, a journalist from the Market Drayton Advertiser and Shropshire Star.

Apparently a retired colleague of his, now in his 80s, Mr Frank Fuller of Market Drayton, told him a story he (Frank) had never got round to doing, and Toby would like to find out about it.

The story is about a house called 'Tisbuts' built by a gentleman who saved coins, saying 'tisbut a halfpenny' as he saved them. After a little research Toby has found the house in Swanbach which has a plaque saying 'built by Tisbuts, 1865'.

Toby would love to hear from the History Society or from anyone else who knows the full story behind it?

Toby wants to do the story/feature that Frank never got round to doing!
