ADCA's Coffee Club members last Friday were thrilled to be entertained by one of them who sang some well-known blues and rock songs including by Elvis Presley and even by Cliff Richard.
The Billy Gibbons who dropped into the coffee club told us that the two of them had lots in common as the other Billy had shed loads of money and he had lots of sheds.
The other Billy guested on the recent Sky Arts programme, 'Mick Fleetwood and Friends'. This was a feast of rock and blues hosted by the Fleetwood Mac drummer. Imagine my surprise when he introduced one of his many guests as the world famous Billy Gibbons. I thought, at last, due recognition for our Billy. But imagine my disappointment when a smaller, older and bearded Billy came onto the stage. He's let himself go a bit I thought.
So we were all delighted when our Billy came along to entertain us.
See if you can spot the difference between the two Billys in the attached photos.
Everyone is welcome to drop in to ADCA's Coffee Club for coffee and cake every Friday anytime between 10 and 12 noon in the Thornton Room in the Public Hall Annexe. Just come in through the patio doors at the back by the playing field. Enjoy lots of good humour, the occasional fishy quiz and, most importantly, a relaxing time. Your never know when a folk, rock or blues star will interrupt their world tours to play for free for us!
