Busy Mid-ARS walk

Yesterday saw the first Mid-ARS (Audlem Ramblers Society) walk of 2016.

Mid-ARS walks were introduced into the programme last May and have proved popular since. As the name suggests, they fill the gap between ARS's longer walks (second Saturday of the month) and Short-ARS walks (last Saturday of the month). They are of 6 – 8 miles in length with few difficult ascents.

Yesterday's walk was particularly popular with 31 walkers, 2 babies, and 5 dogs who enjoyed the 8 miles in Delamere Forest. The walk was led by Kate Down.

The walk had two of our youngest members, Barnaby and George, aged 10 months and 14 months respectively.
