Drop in for Business Fire Safety

The devastation left by a fire can have a massive impact on a business.
Fire safety in the workplace is vital which is why Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service is offering to help businesses stay safe.
Free drop-in advice sessions are being held at its Headquarters in Winsford for business owners, managers and people responsible for fire safety in the workplace.

Head of Prevention and Protection Keith Brooks said: "It is estimated that up to 80% of businesses are seriously affected following a fire and many never recover. Simple measures can be taken to significantly reduce this threat.
"We are committed to helping companies reduce the risks of fire, we want to work with businesses to offer advice and guidance.
"Anyone who has a responsibility for undertaking fire safety audits or Fire Risk Assessments within a company and is unsure about the legal responsibility they have, or simply have concerns, should contact us now, not through a 999 call when it's too late!"
Business Safety staff will be able to give advice about fire safety laws, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, business continuity and arson prevention.
The free sessions take place on Friday, July 24 and Friday, August 21 and are open from 9am until 12 noon to just drop in for a chat.

If you would like to book onto one of the sessions or would like information on fire safety then please contact the Business Safety Team on 01606 868761. Alternatively visit the website www.cheshirefire.gov.uk/business-safety or follow our updates on Twitter @CheshireFire or @BizFireSafety
