Burleydam WW1 event on 4th August

I read in the chronicle that the Wrenbury and district British Legion are organising ceremonies at four war memorials on 4th August to mark the centenary of the start of WW1.

The nearest to Audlem is Burleydam and the History Society has included these men in their research project so would be keen to contact relatives and also to let them know of the
event.

It is to be held at 9.45am at the war memorial Burleydam.

The names on the memorial are:

• Viscount Crichton
• Lord Hugh Grosvenor
• Bardell Adamson (son of the vicar of Burleydam)
• Frank Clewes
• Frederick Dutton
• Harry Hancock
• William Hulse
• Herbert Parker
• Edward Reece,
• Ernest Severn.
