Britain in Bloom North West Awards 2022

Today, October 19th I set off with Adrian Leightonof the Turnpike Field working group to attend this well loved event.

Eleanor and Colin Liles, who were very active in ADAS when I was chairman , volunteered to drive us to the venue. A wonderful and most appreciated gesture. Eleanor and Colin are season tickets holders to their team, Bolton Wanderers, and it was at the Stadium that they know so well where the awards ceremony was held.

We drove up the M6 to the M62, M60, M61 and to the Bolton Stadium Hotel on De Havilland Way.
We arrived a tad before 1030 and were greeted with teas and coffees and light snacks. A viewing of the exhibition stands there and all then we were directed into the main room for the awards and a lunch.

Some 420 people were gathered there.

Eleanor and Colin drove us back in very good time, free flowing motorways and pleasant company. So very generous of them.
