The three awards given to Audlem as part of Britain in Bloom over the years 2010, 2011 and 2012 are on show in the window of the Jinja Bakes Cafe.

Messrs Oxley's of Crewe and Nantwich have again kindly agreed to provide a plaque recording the latest award and to have it mounted next to the previous two on the pillar by The Lord Combermere – at no cost to ADAS – for which we thank the company for their superb generosity.

The work of ADAS continues as now I have taken down all the last of the hanging baskets and cleared away the bedding plants and begonias. There are just a few left by the Paddock Lane post. Shame to lift those yet.

The next task is to feed and replenish compost and then to plant hundreds of tulips to flower in April and May as heralds the arrival of Spring.

We are also planning to have fragrant and varied leaf colour shrubs in the long flower bed in front of The Lord Combermere car park.
