Year 7 students from Brine Leas School have recently spent an Activity week at the Conway centre in Menai, Anglesey.

Before the visit, using family members and the internet, they each researched the history of World War participants from
their own families. The information was then used to produce individual designed commemorative poppies.

On their return to Nantwich, these were planted in the front of the school to produce our own 'poppy field', which visitors are welcome to view.

Claire Somerville, who organised the activity said: '2015 was another fantastic year at Menai. A great collection of poppies were produced. Well done to all! The students thoroughly enjoyed researching their ancestors and designing their bespoke poppy.'
