Outstanding A Level Results in 2026

Brine Leas 6th Form (BL6) is delighted to celebrate another excellent set of A Level results for 2026. This year's outcomes reflect the hard work, ambition and commitment of our students, supported throughout by the expertise of our staff and the encouragement of parents and carers.
Our students have achieved impressive results across a broad range of subjects, with many securing the higher grades needed to progress to their chosen next steps. These achievements are a strong reflection of the high expectations, positive relationships and academic culture that continue to underpin life at BL6.
We are particularly proud of the determination shown by this year group. They have approached their studies with maturity and resilience, making the most of the guidance, challenge and support available to them. Their results are well deserved and mark an important milestone as they move on to university, apprenticeships, employment and further specialist training.
Students from BL6 will now take up places at a wide range of universities and providers, including Russell Group institutions and highly competitive courses, alongside degree apprenticeships and employment routes. Their destinations reflect the breadth of talent, aspiration and opportunity within our sixth form.
We would like to thank our specialist A Level teachers and wider sixth form team for the care, subject expertise and individual support they have provided. We are also grateful to parents and carers for the important role they have played throughout the past two years.

Headteacher P Whitehead said:

We are very proud of our students and all they have achieved. These results are the product of sustained effort, excellent teaching and strong support from families. More importantly, they open the door to exciting next steps, and we look forward to seeing our students continue to thrive beyond BL6.
As our Year 13 students prepare for the next stage of their lives, we congratulate them on their success and thank them for the contribution they have made to our school community. We wish them every success for the future.
We now look ahead to GCSE Results Day on Thursday 20 August 2026, when we hope to celebrate further success across the school. We are also looking forward to welcoming our next cohort of Year 12 students as they enrol and begin their journey with BL6."
