Burglary at the Coop

Audlem Coop was broken into early this morning. Judy Evans from Williams Newsagents reports that the intruders attacked the building gaining access at around 04:40am before racing away at speed towards Market Drayton in an unlit vehicle.

Despite the police arriving within 20 minutes, the intruders managed to escape with a large quantity of cigarettes and alcohol. The store reopened to the public at 3:00pm and normal service has now resumed. Anyone with further information is asked to contact the police using the non-emergency phone number 101.
