Bonfire 2008 a great success

Not only was the Audlem Fireworks and Bonfire night universally acclaimed the best ever, it was also a success financially. ASET, the Audlem Special Events Team, estimate that over 3,000 people attended – much higher than the local population so many visitors were attracted to the village – and a profit of £4,199 was made on the night.

Gate receipts of £7,332 made up the bulk of the income which comfortably covered the costs of the fireworks, insurance, advertising, hall hire and equipment. ASET would like to thank all those who attended the display. Importantly, the success of the Fireworks event has balanced those events this year that made a small loss or broke even.
