Last Thursday at the Lord C the incredibly talented Kevin Farrell captivated the audience with his lyrical style, and expressive guitar playing, with a mix of self penned and clever covers in his intimate set.

Joined on bodhran by Dee Mischka, along with Alisdair Grant Mackenzie on 'flugel horns' and the irrepressible Darren Poyzer joining in the fun. Entertainment you will not see on your telly!

Well, this evening, Thursday 24th May, could not be more different. Remember how Jim Kirkpatrick captivated audiences with his great guitar playing and magic with the blues at an early age, well say hello to Blues Boy Dan.

Blues Boy Dan comes on a wave of top reviews, having started out playing guitar at 13, Dan's career has gone from strength to strength supporting the likes of Paul Jones, Dave Kelly and The Blues Band.

Blues in the North West Theatre of Blues review:

'The incredibly talented Blues Boy Dan. This young man has a voice that defies belief and an energetic and aggressive guitar style. Each time he surpasses the last performance. This time was no exception as he played over 45 minutes of material including 'Black Cat Bone', 'Stormy Monday' and 'Dog House Blues'.

Enjoy a balmy summer's evening this Thursday at the Lord Combermere listening to the blues, beats the telly!
