An acclaimed festival band is to return to Audlem for an intimate gig.

The Blue Yellows, a contemporary folkrock band who have previously performed at a host of festivals around the country, including Audlem, return to the village this month for an intimate acoustic gig at The Lord Combermere on Thursday 20th September.

The band's debut EP 'All These Things Right Now' was released in the summer and has received a wealth of critical acclaim as well as plenty of downloads and CD sales at gigs.

Jonathan Tarplee, singer/guitarist with the 4-piece said "We're delighted to have had such a positive response to our very first record and it's always fascinating to see what the reviewers think.. we're frankly stunned that it's been so well received".

The band are due to play all the tracks from the CD as well as many more from their repertoire of self-penned tunes and covers.

They declare themselves delighted to be asked to play at The Lord Combermere, having played at several venues in Audlem at the music festival a couple of years ago.

The Blue Yellows are:
Jonathan Tarplee – Guitar, vocals
Emma Alcock – Keyboards, accordion, backing vocals
Simon Taylor – Bass guitar
Hayley Worsdale – Drums, percussion.
