Blooming success again

Yesterday I travelled to Southport, accompanied by Bill Consterdine, to the Annual Awards Ceremony of the North West in Bloom arm of Britain in Bloom.

It was a journey that took all in all eight hours – including the ceremony etc. Just under 500 were present representing towns and villages and local authorities from as far north as Barrow in Furness and to the East as far as Barnoldswick which sits across the Lancs/Yorks border.

We here in Audlem are the furthest south of all who were represented. As can be seen from my photograph, we were once more successful in receiving an award and we were presented with a Silver Medal – our third award for three years running.

The award covers all the aspects of the vibrant community here and recognises all we in ADAS do throughout the year.
