'A Friend' who wishes to remains nameless, has sent the following message after hearing it's Billy Gibbons' birthday tomorrow:

"So the prankster is 50 is he, well, I've known him for 25 of his 50 years and all I can say is....you couldn't wish to meet a nicer bloke. When I first met Billy all he wanted to do was 'Make It' either musically or as a TV presenter. 25 years on, all he wants to do is 'Make It', maybe not so much musically but still as a TV presenter. Having seen him on numerous TV shows, I and many others who know him, think he has the personality and talent to do this. He has been so close, on many occasions, to achieving his long awaited dream. Why do TV companies build up hopes and shatter them in moments. This is my own personal opinion, Billy wouldn't have a bad word said against them, and he still keeps smiling.

I remember the first time I saw Billy on stage, he was fantastic. I'd never seen anything like it, he never stopped moving from the first note to the last. It was hard to dance to Billy's music because his stage show was so visual. Sadly, Billy doesn't do much stage work now due to his back problems but if you do ever get chance to see him perform on stage you will be amazed at how good he is, even after 25 years. Mind you, he does suffer for about a week after. (Did I say he was getting old)!

So, what kind of suprise can you do for a man who has played so many tricks (all good) on so many people without him getting suspicious and saying he "doesn't want a fuss, don't do anything, no parties", on and on and on...(maybe he is getting old)... Well, after months of hearing this, there will be no party, no fuss, no nothing.........or will there!!!

Whatever happens, I really hope Billy has a fantastic day. He deserves it."
