Billy Gibbons features in Star

It's been a big couple of weeks for Audlem personality Billy Gibbons.

He featured for a week in BBC Radio Stoke's Quiz on the James Watt show – well, he did for three days before having to go off for a TV audition.

We don't know what the audition was for and suspect that AudlemOnline's speculation, live, on radio when standing in for Billy, that it was for the role of Newsnight presenter, stepping into Jeremy Paxman's shoes, was simply that – sheer speculation!

He was then on national radiBBC Radio 4's Saturday Live Show last weekend, talking about his 1950s life-style.

And then yesterday he dominated the front page and centre-spread of the Shropshire Star.

The newspaper visited the rockabilly enthusiast's home and a series of photos show only too well how Billy lives surrounded by 1950s toys and appliances.

The article tells how he discovered rock 'n roll and rockabilly after hearing Elvis Presley's 'Hound Dog' on, guess what, Blue Peter. And he hasn't looked forward since!
