Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service has been given a fantastic donation of 1000 first aid kits from Slater and Gordon Solicitors.

An incredibly generous donation, the first aid kits cost Slater and Gordon over £6000.

The Service's Road Safety Team is looking forward to offering these kits to attendees of the organisation's dedicated motorcycle safety course, Biker Down, in exchange for a suggested minimum donation of £5, with all proceeds going to the North West Air Ambulance Charity.

Colin Heyes, Road Safety Manager at Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service, said: "We are so grateful to be given this fantastic support from Slater and Gordon Solicitors. Through their donation, we are able to raise awareness of Biker Down whilst raising money for the North West Air Ambulance charity.

"The charity is responsible for transferring patients to the best medical/trauma centre for treatment thus improving their chances of survival and reducing the risk of long term injury. We hope to receive as many donations as possible to support the vital work they do."

The North West Air Ambulance Service attends over 2,000 missions every year. In September alone, they were called 187 times. 65 of these incidents were road traffic collisions.
