A big thank you from ADAS

Our annual celebration around the Christmas tree was a great success. Comments were aplenty, and all of them good. Even the rain stopped just in time!

My sincere thanks to all of you for the collecting, greeting and compering. I think that next year I will have a break from Santa so that I too can enjoy the occasion.

I must extend a big thank-you to all of the ASET team who helped with public safety.

I am delighted to report that our collection was the best ever, raising £540, which is almost double what we received last year. The Scout Hall committee made £180 with their mince pies & mulled wine, a record for them too.

All in all it was a great community effort attend by well over 500 people. There was a huge crush in the Scout hall afterwards which bore testament to the numbers! Not a sweet wrapper was left on the floor after all had gone.

As they say, 'By the Village for the Village'.
