Big Switch On 28th November – Work Dates

Below are the predicted dates and activities relating to Big Switch On which takes place on the 28th November. The dates relating to small trees are obviously dependent on delivery of the trees but the supplier has stated they should be available by our required date.

• Monday – 10th November – Small trees will be delivered
• Monday – 10th November – cabling of shops, houses etc. – starts at 10.00, meet at 15 Cheshire street
• Wednesday – 12th November – remove flags as above, but if cabling not completed from Monday we will complete it after taking flags down
• Friday – 14th November – will trim trees to size at 15 Cheshire street, start at 09.30
• Wednesday – 19th November – dress small trees at 15 cheshire street, start 09.30Thursday – 20th November – complete dressing of small trees if not completed previously, start of 09.30Friday – 21st November – cut down and erect big tree – may need to move date depending on availability of people to cut and transport tree
• Saturday – 22nd November – put up small trees in village – start at 09.30 at 15 cheshire street – tree distribution and ladder teams required Saturday – 22nd November – dress big tree from cherry picker
• Tuesday – 25th November – unload barriers from wagon at Buttermarket
• Friday – 28th November – Big Switch On – dress Buttermarket and grotto in the morning and and erect barriers and marshall traffic and pedestrians in the evening
• Saturday – 29th November – take down Grotto
• Monday – 1st December – load barriers onto wagon

Good news, Santa will arrive by Audlem Lass on the 28th.
