Friday 29th November

The ADAS Committee and volunteers are now busy preparing for the ADAS Big Switch On which will take place on Friday 29th November, starting at 6pm when Audlem Lass delivers Santa to Audlem Wharf where RNLI will be providing candles for 'float a wish'

After the lights have been switched on, St James School Choir will be singing outside the Church and Santa will be in his Grotto talking to children about Christmas presents. As usual there will a booking system- details will be published on AOL nearer the date

This year ADAS have had to buy the Big Tree and transport it from Telford in addition to purchasing the small trees and replacing damaged lights.

Audlem Parish Council makes a contribution towards the costs but despite this, the event costs ADAS nearly £800

Any contributions would be much appreciated. If you would like to sponsor one of the small trees please take your £10 donation to Flower Divas or drop a donation into Santa's bucket in the Grotto.

The work schedule to prepare the Village for the Big Switch On is as follows:

Volunteers needed

If you would like to help with any of the above tasks please contact Neil Goodyear on 07564 243996

Volunteers are also required to help with setting up the Grotto and for marshalling duties on the Switch On evening

We already have many local people helping with the above work and we also are most grateful for the barriers provided free by PET Tool Hire and the Cherry Picker also loaned free by Voltcom

All Audlem residents are invited to come along and enjoy this free event- the local shops will be open so come and join in with the festivities!
