Best wishes and a big thank you to Paul and Clare

Today, Paul and Clare Moran are moving from Audlem to their new home near Manchester. We are sure everyone who knows them, and in particular the thousands of music lovers they have entertained through the Audlem Music & Arts Festival, will wish them well.

Paul has been the driving force behind the Festival and arranged for many famous bands to come and entertain us. Many of those bands talked about the superb catering Clare laid on before they hit the stage. While many others have contributed to the Festival, it just wouldn't have happened without the Morans.

Paul wrote an article for Audlem Online almost eighteen months ago. He recalled his first impressions of Audlem: "I moved to Audlem for a bit of peace and quiet!! After 30 plus years living in Manchester I needed to recharge my batteries, put my feet up and enjoy the country life.....fat chance!!

Three things stuck me within days of moving here – strangers spoke to you – the licensing laws seemed to have bypassed the village – the music scene was better than the one I had left behind in the city!"

Well Paul, you made that music scene even better. With your return to Manchester, we will keep a close eye on that city's music scene to see if your influence means it may start to catch up with Audlem!
