Bells for John Kemble's Funeral

On Monday 24th February the funeral service for John Kemble will be held at St. James's Church at 1pm.

John and Ruth were both ringers at Audlem and so the bells will be rung before and after the service.

Bells can be rung at funerals if requested, sometimes half muffled in memory. In this case, however, at the request of the family the sound will be clear in celebration of John's life.

After the service a local band will attempt a quarter peal- about 45 minutes – of a ringing method called grandsire doubles.
