Bellringing for the Proclamation of the King
Sunday morning before the service at St James's church, the Audlem bellringers successfully rang a quarter peal of a method called Grandsire Doubles, in celebration of the proclamation of King Charles lll.
There were 1260 changes and took forty minutes, finishing at eleven o'clock precisely.
The bells were open which meant that all the notes sounded clearly.
God save the King!
