Representatives of Audlem and Hankelow attended the awards ceremony for the Cheshire Community Action Community Pride competition in Congleton yesterday evening – and what a night it was!

Congleton Town Hall was packed and we all had our fingers crossed in the hope that we might win something, and we did.

First, we heard that the Methodist Chapel had been awarded a "Little Gem" certificate for their garden.

Next, it was AudlemOnline's turn as they won the category of best village website.

Then it was Hankelow's turn for a win when they were awarded the 'Best Kept Village' awarded for villages with a population of under 400.

And finally, it was Audlem's turn again as we heard that once more we had won the category of 'Best Kept Village' with a population of 1,001 to 2,500.

Well done everyone who was involved in any way in achieving this amazing result. Here's to next year!
