Shea O Neill, the Weaver Valley Project Manager has been in touch to say that the organisation Groundwork has been appointed to undertake consultation regarding the proposed Weaver Way route in Audlem. A meeting will take place in June in Audlem to discuss various issues relating to the Weaver Way, a footpath/cycleway stretching across Cheshire from Audlem in the south to the banks of the Mersey near Frodsham in the north.

Shea spoke at last year's Annual Village Meeting when she announced that Audlem was to be the southern gateway to the Weaver Valley Park and the newly created Weaver Way. Work has already been undertaken to improve stretches of the new route in Nantwich and around Frodsham.
