Each month, the Audlem Online team sends a 500-word article about the village to the publishers of the Whitchurch Gossip and Market Drayton Gossip magazines.

These excellent publications are widely (and freely) distributed in North Shropshire and many in Audlem see a copy, particularly of the Whitchurch magazine. Many of our readers, however, are outside their distribution area.

We thought you might like to read what we said about the village earlier this month in the June issues:

Audlem – the Village that Parties

After the Audlem Festival and Carnival, there's two other huge events coming up in the village.

On Sunday 24th June at the nearby Overwater Marina, it’s ‘Safety Afloat’ with entertainment for all. A great list of activities is lined up it even ends with: 'Plus Loads More.'

The day will see the opening of a new bridge across the entrance to the marina. There are safety demonstrations in the water and the RAF helicopter will also be on site, plus a chance to meet a lifeguard and police divers. The list of events that day seems to be growing all the time and it should make a great day out.

There's a serious side too – you could learn to save a life. There will be free First Aid and CPR seminars. Audlem First Responders will be there too so you can learn more about their vital work in the area.

Then, on Saturday 7th July, it’s the Audlem Jubilee Music on the Park.

There's never a dull moment in Audlem! Audlem's Special Events Team are proud to present a fantastic event for all the family that will take place on 7th July.

All this follows an amazing six night and four day Audlem Music & Arts Festival and the Audlem Carnival over the Jubilee weekend. Eighty three acts and events meant there was entertainment for all tastes.

Top bands and musicians, local and from afar, entertained at venues throughout the village; art and photography exhibitions; a Poetry Slam and Speakeasy (both new and very successful to the Festival), opera and classical recitals and concerts – it was quite a weekend.

Audlem knows how to party and lay on great events – so come and sample what’s on offer with Safety Afloat on Sunday 24th June at Overwater Marina and the Jubilee Party in the Park on Saturday 7th July.
