Today, in the build up to this weekend's Festival, Audlem Online puts the spotlight on the village's pubs, all three putting on music throughout the weekend.
Lord CombermereThe Lord Combermere, on Friday, features Poyzer & Fluff + special guests, at 9.00pm, bringing their outstanding passionate, vibrant and original songs and improvisations back to the Combermere. A support line-up completes the billing. Saturday sees the outdoor stage at the Combermere with bands playing throughout the afternoon.
Bridge InnFriday night at 9.00pm at the The Bridge Inn sees Colin Browne (Barclay James Harvest) & Mick Giliker (Proudlove & Beyond) playing a heady mixture of Beatles classics and Motown favourites. Keyboards & guitars combine with vocal virtuosity. Chris Dumville plays at 6.00pm on Saturday, a versatile singer / guitarist. At 9.00pm Saturday it's a Bridge favourite, the Diamond Geezer.
Shroppie FlyThe Shroppie Fly kicks off on Friday at 9.00pm with Heavy Weather, a classic blues rock band with a great local following. These guys are at the top of their game, playing regularly with Bernie Marsden of Whitesnake. On Saturday night, it's the ever-popular 'Bob on our side' featuring Bob Dylan classics at 9.00pm.
