AudlemOnline not being taken over

AudlemOnline would like to confirm that the news headline yesterday: "Verizon swoops on reborn AOL with $4.4bn takeover" does not refer to the Audlem-based AOL but another company with a similar name that resides in the USA and which often gets involved in huge mega-deals.

While the four members of the webteam might have enjoyed a $4.4bn boost to their wealth, they would also have been disappointed that the recent rise of the £ against the $ would have reduced their apparent financial gain back here in Blighty.

So, undaunted, and also unpaid, they will soldier on as the poorer version of AOL.
