The February meeting of Audlem WI was a trip down memory lane with Imelda Delve. She told stories of the music hall artistes and Second World War era stars like Vera Lynn, Anne Shelton and Betty Driver. Her talk ended with a sing-along of their songs.

An outing to the Lyceum is arranged to see Hello Dolly on March 20 and 10 members are going to South Cheshire College on March 25th to be pampered with a facial, manicure or peedicure, lunch and a hair-do.

The March meeting was totally different in that it was members' night when Colin Ainley of ADAPT (Audlem and District Acting Positively for Transition) told those assembled about local efforts to be energy and environmentally self-sufficient.

Chair Chirstine Plume then displayed her collection of jars and bottles which she and her family had dredged from the stream running through her garden whilst the hoiuse was being built. Some of these date back to the early 1900s.

The next meeting is on Thursday, April 1st when visitors and new members will be welcome.
