AWEG Meeting

AWEG are holding their next meeting at 7.00 pm on Tuesday 24th January at the new venue of Audlem Methodist Chapel.

At the meeting Bill Morton will give an illustrated talk on the bird life of Frodsham Marshes a well-known birding hotspot. I believe Frodsham Marshes has a number of lagoons, which were created during the construction of the Manchester Ship Canal, and it is these that make the area so attractive for our feathered friends.

We will follow up this talk with a field trip to Frodsham Marshes in April when hopefully Bill Morton will join us.

Anyone interested is welcome to join us although we do charge a fee of £5.00 per person to cover both the room hire cost and the speaker's fee. Under eighteens are admitted free of charge but must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
