Audlem WI May meeting

Audlem WI held their monthly meeting on Thursday 4th May.

The singing of Jerusalem was accompanied by piped music which worked very well and easier than moving the piano into the hall each month.

The Speaker was Geoff Kaufman on Environment Health and Aid Overseas. Geoff gave a very informative and interesting talk about his work overseas, working on clean water systems etc. and the dangers involved with political unrest in many of the countries.

To celebrate the King's Coronation at the end of the week we celebrated with cake and glass of non-alcoholic bubbly, which was well received!!

Our membership continues to grow – an interesting programme has been completed for rest of the year. The speaker in June is Judy Townsend 'My Life Story'.

All visitors are very welcome; we meet on the first Thursday of the month in Audlem Methodist Church Hall.

The meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem.
