A well-known local personage and photographer has sent Audlem Online this photograph. He says:

"I recently had a conversation with someone who referred to the Audlem Weather Stone. I had no idea what he was referring to and so I asked some of the locals, only to find that no-one else seemed to have heard of it either.

"Apparently this stone can be used to predict the weather in the following manner:-

If the stone is wet then it's raining.
If the stone is dry then it's fine.
If it's covered in white powder then it's been snowing.
If you can't see it at all then it's foggy.

"I managed to find it and take a photograph. Can anyone say where it is?"
