Audlem Voices Spring Concert was held on Saturday 8th April at St James' Church. It was a classical concert with a mixture of secular and sacred songs. An enthusiastic audience in a well filled church appreciated the familiar favourite Zadok the Priest by Handel as well as the challenge of the less familiar work Nocturnes by Lauridsen.

Val Morrey and Yvonne Parker both soprano singers from Audlem Voices sang solos. They chose pieces by Rutter and Vilvaldi.
Between the choir's songs, the ever popular soprano soloist Jane Johnson performed a selection of songs from Handel, Shubert, Bach and Goodall. Her final choice was Pie Jesu by Lloyd-Webber which was a spine tingling performance for all to enjoy. Jane is now a much loved guest soloist who entertained with her charm, humour and beautiful singing.

Jenny Collis Smith thanked Naomi Newman for accompanying and conducting Morte Criste, the final piece. Jenny also thanked the audience for their support and reminded them that Audlem Voices next performance will be at the Music & Arts Festival on Saturday 27th May, 2017.
