Following on from last year's success, the Audlem Village Fête took place at Turnpike Field on Bank Holiday Sunday, 27th August.

Many visitors from Audlem and further afield enjoyed an afternoon at the event.

There was a wide variety of stalls and attractions, with the Dog Show and Auction being particularly popular.
Many thanks to David Latchford for acting as Auctioneer for the afternoon.
Adriana Roscoe and the judge, Maria Bull, deserve a special mention for entertaining everyone with such a lively Dog Show!

As usual, the Tea and Cake Stall attracted many customers as did the Beer, Prosecco, Pimms and Barbecue stalls.

The children enjoyed Facepainting, Tombola, Football Challenge and a well stocked Toy Stall.
The Fire Engine proved to be a great attraction.

The Raffle winners were delighted with their prizes.

Many thanks are due to everyone who helped make the Fête such a success -- it is impossible to list you all:
The stall holders, car stewards, volunteers who helped with physical tasks in setting up gazebos etc, cakes and donations for the Raffle and Auction, ASSET and the Hankelow Fête Committee for the loan of Marquees, in fact everyone who helped on and before the day!

The Fête Committee is delighted with the substantial amount of money raised so far -- a final figure will be published when it's available.
All proceeds from the Fête will be used by ADAS to fund Village projects including:

  • Summer Bedding displays,
  • Christmas Lighting,
  • Carol Singing,
  • Britain in Bloom
  • various amenities in Audlem.
