Audlem Surfboard Championships

It's great to hear that our Parish Council are proactively supplying sand for the beach outside Williams newsagents. Demand is bound to be high to take advantage of these facilities, local businesses will flourish. I have even heard rumours that the British Olympic surfing team are moving their training camp here supported by United Utilities, well done United Utilities. Nothing appears to be too much trouble for them in supporting our Olympic effort to get surfing the same success as British cycling.

How fortunate Audlem is to have this opportunity on tap 24x7. The great wave flowing down our high street is bound to boost the area as a tourist hot spot. It also provides a facility that will cut down the 'carbon footprint ' as our local surf athletes do now not need to travel to Newquay to enjoy their sport. It makes us proud to be able to support United Utilities through paying our water rates.
