Audlem Spring Clean

Earth Day Spring Clean – 20th April

Following on from last year's successful Earth Day Spring Clean in Audlem, Spokes & Laces are planning another for Saturday 20th April.

We're looking for volunteers to commit at least one hour of their time to collect single-use pollution (such as bottles, cans, crisp packets, food wrappers, etc.) from the green spaces and walkways of Audlem. Everything will be provided (as well as hand cleaning facilities afterwards) just bring your enthusiasm. Audlem Public Hall have kindly allowed us to use the Youth Room as an HQ on the morning and we will meet there at 0915 for a 0930 start.

We are working alongside Trash Free Trails (TFT) in our second year as a TFT Community Hub. Come along and we will tell you more about their work and how we've been successful in our application on their Citizen Scientist Programme. Many trails, public spaces and wild places are being choked by single-use pollution, and rather than simply let it happen, we're committed to doing something about it -- together with the local community.

The Beavers, Cubs and Guides of Audlem are joining us, and we're looking forward to surpassing the thirty volunteers that were involved last year.
