Some highlights from an impressive array of class activity last week

Amethystclass: The children have read the stories, "The Gingerbread Man," "MonkeyPuzzle" and "The Button Box."
Sapphire class: Sapphire class have produced amazing homework this week – models of buildings in Audlem. Parental support has been phenomenal and the results are displayed in the classroom
Pearlclass: Our trip on Wednesday to Nantwich Museum was a great success and involved the children becominghistory detectives. They wrote their names in Tudor writing, played with Tudor toys and wore Tudor clothing, learnedabout the Fire of Nantwich and looked at Tudor houses in the town
Amber class: Amber class again enjoyed Forest Schools on Monday and started their first full swimming session thisweek.
Emerald class: This week, Emerald class have worked on the number-line to 10,000 and calculating 1, 10, 100 or 1,000more or less than a 4-digit number.
Ruby class: The class has been working on rounding up to 10,000 in maths and in English they have been using prepositional phrases, improving their noun phrases and learning to use prefixes that turn words into antonyms
Diamond class: This week in Year 6, we have been reading more of our book "Star of Fear, Star of Hope" and have been writing descriptions of a scene from the book: a Parisian café during the German occupation
