Audlem Saints U9s made it two wins from two games on Sunday morning. Playing a strong, new team from Betley, the first of the three periods was dominated by Audlem. Lots of chances were created but the period ended 0-0 with the Betley post & crossbar being the most significant contributor! The second period was much more level and Audlem had to show some good defensive qualities to keep a clean sheet. A super passing move resulted in a corner to Audlem and a loose ball was smashed home through a group of players. A good goal to open the scoring.

The final period saw Audlem get on top again and create many chances. The Betley keeper and the woodwork again denying the Saints further goals. Minutes from time though, one of the hard working midfield trio scored a goal worthy of Stevie Gerrard! He won the ball with a strong tackle on the half way line. Showing good pace he carried the ball deep into the Betley box before smashing home at the near post. The 2-0 victory maintains the 100% record. Next week's opponents are Cougars, similarly unbeaten after two games.
