Audlem Under 8s finished the season in style with a 4-2 win over Cheshire Blades. The result secured the runners-up spot for the team which is a marvellous achievement in their first full season. Sunday's game was a cracker with both sides displaying some super touches and a good sense of how the game should be played. Audlem quickly establised a 2-0 lead courtesy of a well worked team goal and a long range individual effort. Blades responded by pulling one back early in the second period but another super series of passes presented Audlem with a chance which was well taken. Blades did score again towards the end of the game to make it 3-2 but there was just enough time for Audlem to net a fourth goal. After a foul on the edge of the box, a well worked free kick was smashed into the roof of the net to spark mass celebrations!

Audlem Saints U8s end the season with a record reading; Played 14, Won 9, Drawn 3 and lost 2. Along the way they scored 32 goals whilst only conceding 16.

The boys have proudly represented Audlem and have been a real credit to the village!
