There was another deserved win for the boys on Sunday, this time beating Nantwich Tigers 2-1.

Audlem dominated the first period of play but simply couldn't find the net. A combination of great goalkeeping, the woodwork and some wayward shooting prevented Audlem putting the game beyond reach. The second period was much more evenly matched yet, football being a "funny old game", this was the period that saw Audlem score two goals. Each was a pleasure to watch as accurate passing created space for a shot on goal. Both chances were cleanly taken. The celebratioins can only be described as "Premiership class!"

The final period was again an end to end affair and Nantwich deservedly pulled back one goal. In the main though, Audlem defending and goalkeeping was solid and the 2-1 victory was never seriously threatened. Four wins from four games now...but next up is the hitherto unbeaten Wistaston Cubs!(Sunday at 11.15)
